New Delhi- The Ministry of Power in association with District Administration, and coordinated by POSOCO, organized a ‘Bijli Mahotsav’ under the umbrella of Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya – Power @2047 at Govt Girls Higher Secondary School, Pushp Vihar, South Delhi, as part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ on Friday.
Presiding over the program, Hon'ble MP Shri Ramesh Bidhuri said that India's generation capacity has increased from 2,48,554 MW in 2015 to 4,00,000 MW. Under One Nation One Grid, 1,63,000 circuit kilometers of transmission lines were added, linking the entire ocountry into a single grid running on a single frequency.
He added that establishment of Tughlakabad substation has improved supply to Delhi ”
Director (Market operation), POSOCO, said, “We have an opportunity for us to export power to Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar.” The event, which was attended by numerous dignitaries, saw large turnouts of crowds from nearby villages and districts.
