Goa Shipyard Limited Contributes Rs. 1.75 Crores To PM Cares Fund
Goa: Goa Shipyard Limited has extended a financial support of Rs. 1,25,00,000 (Rupees One Crore, Twenty Five Lakh only) towards PM CARES and Rs. 50 lakhs towards CM relief Fund of Government of Goa to support country's WAR against COVID-19.
CMDE B B NAGPAL, CMD GSL Said, Under the CSR Initiative, the financial aid provided by GSL will be used as a part of preventive & relief measures against COVID-19, in the State of Goa. GSL stands strongly by the society in these testing times. As a responsible corporate, GSL will work towards implementation of all precautionary measures to deal with the pandemic. In addition, all employees have contributed their one day's salary towards this cause.
Besides that GSL has distributed 5000 face Masks to Goa Police personnel and 3000 face Masks to local administration and MMC staff who are involved in COVID-19 relief duty. GSL has taken prompt action with regards to release of payments for MSME suppliers, Contract workers and outsourced work force in order to avoid any financial hardship. GSL is providing logistics support to local administration through vehicles, manpower for sanitation work etc.
