New Delhi: Indian Army rescued 113 villagers safeguarded from flood-affected areas of the Vidarbha region, as mentioned by the  Ministry of defence in a recent statement. On Wednesday they evacuated people from a village in Maharashtra’s Chandrapur district after it was completely cut off due to flooding.

The rescue operation was carried out at Mangaon village after the days of incessant and heavy rainfall and the release of water from irrigation projects resulted in a flood-like situation in the area and the village was completely cut off due to flood.
