IRCON successfully commissions electrical substation at Santragachi station

IRCON International commissions a 2×2500 kVA electrical substation at Santragachi Station, inaugurated by GM/SER, for the South Eastern Railway, which features a dedicated 6.0 kV CESC supply to power the station building and platforms, ensuring reliable power supply, better voltage regulation, and enhanced passenger experience.

The substation features two transformers of 2500 kVA capacity each. A dedicated CESC power supply at 6.0 kV has been connected to ensure consistent and reliable electricity.

Improved Voltage Regulation: The new substation minimizes voltage fluctuations, ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems.

Enhanced Passenger Comfort: A reliable power supply supports uninterrupted lighting, cooling, and operational facilities, significantly improving passenger experience.
