ITI Limited Observes Vigilance Awareness Week 2019

New Delhi: The week long Vigilance Awareness Week celebration from 28th Oct- 2nd November 2019 under the theme “Integrity- A Way of Life” was observed by all units of ITI Limited by administering the integrity pledge to eliminate corruption. 
The valedictory function of VAW 2019 was held at ITI Limited, Bangalore Plant on 2nd November 2019. Shri R M Agarwal, CMD, ITI Limited graced the occasion as Chief Guest and distributed prizes to the school children, faculty members and employees in the presence of Shri S P Gupta, Director-HR, Shri A Gnanasekaran, Chief Vigilance Officer, Shri K V Suresh, Unit Head, Bangalore Plant.
 
To mark the occasion, various competitions like essay and slogan writing were also organized to show zero tolerance for corruption.
In order to reach out to the public, an awareness rally against corruption “WALKATHON” was taken out by over 200 students of ITI Central and Vidyamandir School on 30th Oct 2019.
 
Delivering the keynote address on integrity, trust and corruption, Shri R M Agarwal, CMD, ITI Limited said, “Trust and integrity are inborn moral conviction of humans and if an individual want to live in a corruption free society then such moral values should be nurtured throughout their lives”. He also appealed to everyone to introspect themselves and pass on the message of integrity and honesty to their future generations.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Shri S P Gupta, Director- HR, ITI Limited spoke about the technical issues of designing a transparent vigilance system and also stressed upon the need for self-explanatory provisions in the system to avoid any loop holes in the overall process. The function was attended by senior officers of ITI Limited along with office bearers of ITI officer’s association and employee’s union.
