L &T Bags Ultra Mega Power Plant Order from NTPC
Infrastructure based Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured an 'ultra mega' order from state-owned NTPC to establish thermal power plants in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. L&T defines 'ultra mega' orders as those exceeding Rs 15,000 crore. The order was awarded to L&T Energy CarbonLite Solutions, a business division of L&T, as stated in a regulatory filing by the company.
"L&T Energy CarbonLite Solutions has secured 'Limited Notice to Proceed' (LNTP) from NTPC Ltd for setting up thermal power plants in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar," it said.
The work involves the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, and commissioning of boilers, turbines, electrostatic precipitators, and auxiliaries, along with the related mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil works.
