MECON partners with Hindustan Zinc Limited

New Delhi: MECON partners with Hindustan Zinc HZL (Vedanta Limited) for setting up a 300 KTPA GreenField Zinc Smelter Complex at Doswada, Gujarat. MECON is providing EPCM service to this prestigious project.  

 

Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL), is a subsidiary of Vedanta limited in the Zinc-lead-Saver-Wind Energy business and the world's leading producer of Zinc, as part of its core vision of becoming "The Largest Zinc-Lead and Silver producer", are setting up a greenfield 300 KTPA Zinc Smelter Plant, at Doswada, Tapi, Gujarat, India.

 

MECON Limited is a Frontline Engineering & Consultancy firm, under the Ministry of Steel has been retained by HZL as Engineering, Project, Procurement & Construction Management partner (EPCM partner) for this prestigious project.

The Major sections of this greenfield project: 

-Roaster, Gas Cleaning, and Acid plant

-Moting & Casting units -Plant Infrastructure & Non-Plant Buildings

-Leaching, Purification and Gypsum Removal

- Fumer Plant

-220 kV Substation, Switchyard, Power distribution & Plant Automation

-Cell House

-Utilities (Air/Water/ Effluent/ Fuel/ Oxygen)

The project is proposed to be executed on an EPC basis by renowned Business partners and MECON shall be driving this project as an EPCM partner.
