MIDHANI sponsored the vehicle to Akshaya Patra Foundation

New Delhi: Dr. S K Jha, Chairman & Managing Director, MIDHANI inaugurated the vehicle sponsored by MIDHANI under Corporate Social Responsibility to Akshaya Patra Foundation in the august presence of Shri N Gowri Sankara Rao, Director (Finance), Dr. Upendra Vennam, IPoS, Chief Vigilance Officer – MIDHANI, Shri A Ramakrishna Rao, General Manager (HR). Akshaya Patra Foundation Team Shri Yagneshwara Prabhu, Vice President-Hyderabad Akshayapatra Chapter, Ms. Rajini Sinha, State Head, Shri Avinash Allam, Sr. Manager have expressed their gratitude to MIDHANI for their dedicated support in feeding nutritious food to the Government School Children of Telanagana State.

 

The said vehicle is a custom-designed vehicle worth Rs 17 lakhs for delivering food to the schools and also for taking up COVID Feeding activities. The inauguration event was organized by the CSR team, Ms. AR Rashmi, Mgr, HR & Shri M. Venugopal Swamy, Sr. Executive.  

 

Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) is committed to help the deprived and underprivileged class of society. Despite the challenges of COVID pandemic, MIDHANI in association with Akshaya Patra Foundation has distributed 1500 nos of “DRY RATION KITS” at a cost of Rs 11.25 lakhs to support the daily wagers & Migrant labourers get through the difficult phase of COVID -19 lockdown at Hyderabad during the First COVID wave.

Further, MIDHANI has continued its support to Akshaya Patra by sponsoring Happiness Kits – an initiative launched by Akshaya Patra to support the beneficiary’s nutritional needs by providing food items and also cater to their hygiene needs and help in addressing the learning gap due to school lockdown. Distributed 707 Happiness Kits to the Government School Children of Bhadradri – Kothagudem (Aspirational District). 

 

In the past also MIDHANI has sponsored CSR funds to Akshaya Patra for promotion of Education and Nutrition.
