NCL to Provide 1.25 Cr. for Construction of Community Centres in 10 Villages of Basti
Basti: Aimed at strengthening rural infrastructure, Northern Coalfields Limited will help construct community centres in 10 villages of Basti district of Uttar Pradesh. The company will collaborate with District Administration of Basti for construction of centres in villages Ashokpur Majha, Raipur, Katya Teliyajot, Rasulpur, Majha, Keshavpur, Kannela, Gangapur, Pakari Bhikhi and Padri. Total of 25,000 villagers will be benefited from this CSR initiative of NCL.
To formalize the implementation, the company has signed an MoU with Bhartiya Co-operative Gramin Vikas Evam Nirman (BCGVENL) under the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India on Thursday. Shri. Atmeshwar Pathak, General Manager (CSR) signed the MoU on behalf of NCL and Shri P.K.Pandey, Project Manager signed the same on behalf of BCGVENL.
Post construction, the community centres will be handed over to respective Gram Panchayats. The centres will be used for organising ceremonies and local gathering. Additionally, the centres will also be used for hosting skill development programmes being run for youth in Basti.
