New Covid testing centre set up at Sector-1, of Rourkela Steel Plant Township
The augmented testing capacity will help detect all positive cases and reduce the long ques awaiting tests making it conveniently accessible to all
Provision has been made to collect around 200 samples per day.
Rourkela: Working upon the three major components to contain COVID-19 pandemic, viz. Test, Track and Treat, SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) along with Sundargarh District Administration has set up another COVID Testing Centre at Sector – 1 Community Centre. Both Rapid Antigen as well as RTPCR tests will be carried out in this centre.
Provision has been made to collect around 200 samples per day. The augmented testing capacity will help detect all positive cases and reduce the long queues awaiting tests making it conveniently accessible to all. This will be the 3rd Centre of the Industrial Township, the other two being operating at Ispat General Hospital and Sector-6 Hospital. Besides, Rapid Antigen tests are being carried out in the community centres of different sectors on a rotation basis.
It is noteworthy that Rourkela Steel Plant is making all-out efforts to contain the pandemic in every possible way. Right from setting up Testing centres, Isolation/Quarantine Centres and Treatment Centres to ICU facilities, RSP is standing by its employees and their family members at every step.
