NLC India Cup Kabaddi Tournament
New Delhi: NLC India Cup District level Kabaddi Tournament for women was organized at Bharathi Stadium Complex, Neyveli On 31st Jan and 1st Feb 2020. It is part of the series of NLC India Cup tournaments being organized by NLCIL in different Sports disciplines. These tournaments are sponsored mainly to promote Sports among the students hailing from Rural Villages.
The Kabaddi tournament was inaugurated by Shri N.Sankar, ED (HR) in the presence of Shri R.Mohan, CGM/CSR/Edn.,Sports & Culture, Shri S.Vinayagamoorthy, GM/Edn., Sports & Culture and Shri K.Ramesh, DGM/Sports on 31st Jan 2020 at 10.00 AM. 12 Kabaddi teams from Cuddalore District competed in the tournament.
Neyveli Kabaddi Club, Neyveli and St.Joseph College, Cuddalore reached the finals. In the well fought finals Neyveli Kabaddi Club, Neyveli defeated St.Joseph’s College, Cuddalore by a narrow margin of 41 to 40 points. Shri. A.Manikandan, IAS, Sub-Collector, Varanasi and Shri.Pravin Kumar, IAS, Sub-Collector, Virudhachallam who were the Chief Gusts of the Valedictory function spoke on the occasion and distributed Cash awards to the top four teams in the presence of Shri.R.Mohan, CGM/CSR/Edn.,Sports & Culture, Shri.K.Ramesh, DGM/Sports and Shri.V.Manojkumar (Group I Selected Officer ) at 7:00 PM on 1st Feb 2020.

First Prize : St.Joseph’s College, Cuddalore Rs.18,000/-
Third Prize : Cuddalore District Kabaddi Association Rs.15,000/-
