NLCIL permits enrolment of additional 3000 contract workmen into NLC Indcoserve society
A committee comprising Senior Executives of NLCIL was constituted to determine the modalities for enrolment of contract workmen deployed through private contractor employers in NLC India Limited.
New Delhi: In a meeting held at Neyveli House today (19-07-2021), CMD, NLCIL released a list of 3509 Contractors’ workmen for consideration of enrolment into NLC Industrial Co-op Service Society (NLC INDCOSERVE).
A settlement under Sec.12 (3) of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, was reached between the contractor employers and Trade Unions representing contract workmen/Recognised Unions in the presence of Principal Employer (NLCIL) on 07-08-2020 for enhancement of wages and benefits including enhancement of the total number of member workmen to be deployed through the NLC Industrial Co-operative Service Society (NLC INDCOSERVE) for Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) in the units of NLCIL to 8000 members (ln the place of existing 5000), as per the seniority list of contract workmen submitted to the Hon`ble Supreme Court of India.

Director/HR, Shri N.Sadish Babu, Exe. Director/HR, senior officials of the company, representatives of Recognised Trade Unions viz., NLC Workers Progressive Union (LPF) and Kanaraga Thozhir Pirivu Anna Thozhir Sangam (ATP) , Managing Director INDCOSERVE and President, INDCOSERVE , released a list of 3509 contract workmen (as available in the Common seniority list submitted to Hon’ble Supreme Court of India) calling for objections/representations.
On examining the representations received, a final list will be provided to the NLC INDCOSERVE society for considering enrolment of around 3000 eligible contract workmen into the society.
