With this India’s largest iron ore producer surpasses its previous best for any Q1 since inception. The month of June also saw Kirandul deliver its best performance to date: 10.36 LT was produced and sales 11.36 LT sold from this complex in Chhattisgarh. This takes its Q1 FY22 production to a record 32.13 LT and sales to 38.82 LT which again are the strongest ever Q1 performance for the Kirandul complex.

“The first quarter sets the tone for what we expect to be one of our best years. This momentum could see us surpass our production and sales target for FY 2022. That such a strong performance is being achieved in such testing times is particularly gratifying,” said CMD NMDC, Shri Sumit Deb.
