NTPC Bongaigaon pays tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri in an inclusive manner
On the occasion, NTPC Bongaigaon Helping hands e-VOICE started its day by donating stationeries and saplings at a nearby lower primary school at Fukkagaon, Kokrajhar.
The young children dressed in uniforms paid floral tributes to Gandhiji and recalled his contribution to the nation.
Bongaigaon: Rich floral tributes were paid to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on the 152nd birth anniversary at NTPC Bongaigaon. Floral tributes were also given to India's second Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary.
Shri T. Ravinder, GM (O&M), NTPC Bongaigaon paid floral tributes and recalled the contribution of Mahatma Gandhi. He said that Gandhiji is a thought and every word he uttered must be taken in letter and spirit. Shri Ravinder said, Gandhi's philosophy must be adhered to by the NTPC Bongaigaon family and we must all work towards his vision, he added.

E VOICE members Shri Diwakar Mishra, Shri Brahmananda Samal, Shri Apurva Kumar Das, Shri Puran Pandit, Shri Rajkumar K K and Shri Prasanth Sammeta took lead in celebrating the event in the school.Later, E VOICE members felicitated the school principal and also announced a scholarship of Rs. 5000 to meritorious students of the school. E-VOICE, NTPC Bongaigaon also gave saplings to the villagers. In the initiative, students from Disha classes, e-voice free learning class initiative for students of nearby villages also took part in the plantation.
Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club and the children of Bal Bhawan of NTPC Bongaigaon also paid rich tributes to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri on their Birth Anniversary at the Bal Bhawan premises.
