The evening came to an end as all the students, teachers and NTPC employees got teary-eyed upon the farewell of students from NTPC Farakka after a one-month long special attachment.
NTPC Farakka celebrated Closing Ceremony of Girl Empowerment Mission
New Delhi: All 120 children participated in the closing ceremony by putting on a talent show of all the skills they have learned during the month they spent at Farakka. While the performances of folk dance and Unity in Diversity reminded the audience of patriotism, the students also showed their talent of acting through an inspiring theater drama.
Parents felt proud upon seeing their children put on a Taekwondo and Self-defense Display, showing how they can escape dangerous situations in real life. Promoting NTPC’s efforts toward mental health, some students performed the various postures of Yoga and Meditation.
GGM Shri Sanjiv Kumar felicitated Smt Maya Singh, President of Udita Ladies Club and other committee members for their contribution in organizing GEM. The chief guests then distributed certificates to all 120 students for passing GEM 2022 with flying colors.
In his address, GGM Sanjiv Kumar addressed the parents and thanked them for being brave and trusting NTPC with their children for one month.
