Under its Corporation Social Responsibility initiative, on 17 th April, 2023 NTPC Kaniha awarded scholarships to 62 meritorious students from organized at Regional Learning Institute ER II of NTPC to assist their learning.

NEW DELHI- Under its Corporation Social Responsibility initiative, on 17 th  April, 2023 NTPC Kaniha awarded scholarships to 62 meritorious students from organized at Regional Learning Institute ER II of NTPC to assist their learning.

The objective of ‘NTPC Utkarsh’ – Merit scholarship is to encourage the deserving brilliant students from the economically weaker and marginalized section of community in target villages of NTPC Projects / Stations for further education and to create competitive spirit among the students.  The scholarship has been given 62 students from 13 Gram Panchayat of Kaniha and Talcher Block consisting of 53 students of Class-X, 02 of Class XII, 4 nos. of ITI, 02 nos. of Btech/B.Engg.. and one MBBS. The students get scholarship for Class X and XII Rs. 3000/-, Rs.

5000/- for ITI , Rs. 90,000/- for Btech/B.engg & MBBS.

On this auspicious occasion, Sh K S Sundaram, Executive Director, NTPC Kaniha.

congratulated the meritorious students and wished them all the success encouraged the students to work hard towards their ambitions with passion and zeal. He also emphasized on the importance of education for nation building. Along with him, the award distribution program was also graced by GM Project Sh R N Das, AGM CSR Sh Rafiqul Islam, AGM HR Sh B K Pandey and AGM RLI ER II Sh Sanjib Kumar among other Officials and parents.

Inauguration of Additional Classroom at Govt Primary School Hutting Area Kaniha

Executive Director of NTPC Kaniha Sh K S Sundaram, on 17 th  April, 2023, has inaugurated Additional two classrooms at Govt Primary School Hutting Area Kaniha built by NTPC Kaniha under its CSR Initiative. Along with him, the inauguration program was also graced by GM O&M Sh AK Sehgal, GM Project Sh R N Das, AGM CSR Sh Rafiqul Islam and AGM HR Sh B K Pandey and Smt. Ranjita Das, Sarpanch of Kaniha Gram Panchayat and other Officials of NTPC.

Addressing the inauguration, Shri KS Sundaram stated that children are reflection of god and if they are nurtured and provided good guidance they can become successful in life. And said such CSR Initiative will help to improve learning of students.

Sarpanch of Kaniha GP and School teachers showed their gratitude for the newly constructed classrooms and appreciated NTPC's endeavour in working towards the development of the School. Along with the additional classrooms NTPC Kaniha under its CSR Initiatives has also constructed 2 nos of toilets, constructed kitchen shed, boundary wall, installed playground equipment among others.
