NTPC Ramagundam Kick Starts Rural Sports Meet 2022
The two-day long sports meet will witness sports activities like Khokho, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Shot Put and Athletics (4x100 metre relay race, 400 metre race and 100 metre race).
The Sports Meet was inaugurated by Shri Atul Kamlakar Desai, GM (O&M) and HoP In Charge of NTPC Ramagundam.
New Delhi: NTPC Ramagundam kick started the Two-day Rural Sports Meet today, on 25th November 2022. More than 700 students from 18 Government Schools located in the nearby villages participated in the event at Mahatma Gandhi Stadium of NTPC Ramagundam Permanent Township.

The Sports Meet was inaugurated by Shri Atul Kamlakar Desai, GM (O&M) and HoP In Charge of NTPC Ramagundam.
Speaking on the occasion he encouraged the participants to develop sportsmanship and make it competitive as well as enjoyable.
“There is no fun in winning alone. Taking everyone along and winning is true sportsmanship”, he added.
Shri Alok Chandra Thakur, GM-Maintenance and President, Sports Council, highlighted the magnitude of the event saying “It is a moment of pride for NTPC Ramagundam as we are hosting such a grand Sports Meet. The number of participants along with their energy and enthusiasm are the testimonies to how big an event it is”.
Smt Vijaya Lakshmi Muralidharan, Head of HR, said NTPC Ramagundam under its CSR-CD aims at providing a broad spectrum of opportunities to the students for their holistic development.
The event is an attempt to encourage sports among the rural youth with an objective to promote sports.
