PM Modi Inaugurates Hospital Complex and Education & Skill-building Campus in South Gujarat

Navsari: The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi today inaugurated a 500-bed, state-of-the-art, Multispecialty & Cancer Hospitals Complex at Navsari and a Centre of Excellence encompassing a Skill-building Centre, Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools at Village Kharel in in south Gujarat. The Multi-specialty & Cancer Hospitals are part of an eight-acre A.M. Naik Healthcare Complex which also includes a residential enclave for consultants, specialists, nurses and paramedical staff. In proximity to the schools are hostels of students and accommodation for the faculty and principal. 

Speaking on the occasion Mr A M Naik, Founder Chairman, Nirali Memorial Medical Trust, philanthropist and Padma Vibhushan awardee said his personal philanthropy is broadly aligned with the Prime Minister’s goal of providing affordable and accessible healthcare, imparting education and skill training to the people.

“I am delighted to have Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi grace this occasion. His passion to serve the nation and its people is truly inspiring. It is something that is very motivating, driving others to do the same,” said Mr Naik. 

“My trusts will continue to provide support for those who need it and help to improve the lives of people. I am committed to this mission and will continue to work hard to ensure that my trusts serve society in the best way possible,” added Mr. Naik.

The hospitals, schools and skilling-centre were set up by two Trusts founded by Mr. Naik in 2009.The ‘Nirali Memorial Medical Trust’ focuses on extending modern healthcare to the needy. The ‘Naik Charitable Trust’ propagates education and skill-building. 

The hospitals will prove to be a boon to south Gujarat - in terms of advanced medical care. It will incorporate a range of advanced multi-disciplinary equipment, putting it on par with the finest of healthcare facilities. 

A wide range of services are offered by the Nirali Multi-specialty Hospital including General Medicine, General Surgery, Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery, Paediatrics Including Neonatology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Orthopaedic Treatment, Critical and Trauma Care.

The foundation stone of the Nirali Cancer Hospital (part of the healthcare complex) was laid by the Hon’ble Prime Minister in 2019. It was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2021.  It incorporates advanced facilities including 3D mammography, an X-Ray facility, and facilities to administer nuclear medicine.

About Nirali Memorial Medical Trust:

Nirali Memorial Medical Trust (NMMT) is a public charitable Trust founded by Mr. A.M. Naik in his personal capacity to carry out philanthropic activities in medical care. 

It is named after Nirali, granddaughter of Mr Naik who passed away due to cancer at the age of two. Mr. Naik had also helped to augment the medical facilities at Kharel General Hospital in Gujarat with an additional wing. 
The Trust has also set up a new facility at Powai in Mumbai, called, ‘A.M. Naik Charitable Healthcare Centre’ that focuses on providing access to best quality medical care to local communities of Mumbai at affordable rates.
