RBI held its 585th Meet with the central board
The Board reviewed the current economic situation, continued global and domestic challenges, and various areas of operations of the Reserve Bank. The Board also discussed the working of sub-committees of the Central Board and the Local Boards and deliberated on the aspects related to financial stability in the present milieu.

New Delhi: The Central Board of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) met on October 23, 2020) under the Chairmanship of Shri Shaktikanta Das, Governor through video conference. This was the 585th meeting of the Central Board.
The Board reviewed the current economic situation, continued global and domestic challenges, and various areas of operations of the Reserve Bank. The Board also discussed the working of sub-committees of the Central Board and the Local Boards and deliberated on the aspects related to financial stability in the present milieu.
Deputy Governors Shri B.P. Kanungo, Shri Mahesh Kumar Jain, Dr. Michael Debabrata Patra, and Shri M. Rajeshwar Rao and all the Directors of the Central Board viz. Shri N. Chandrasekaran, Dr. Ashok Gulati, Shri Manish Sabharwal, Dr. Prasanna Kumar Mohanty, Shri Dilip S. Shanghvi, Shri Satish K. Marathe, Shri S. Gurumurthy, Ms. Revathy Iyer, and Prof. Sachin Chaturvedi attended the meeting. Shri Tarun Bajaj, Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, and Shri Debasish Panda, Secretary, Department of Financial Services also attended the meeting.
