New Delhi: REC Limited under its CSR initiative, has committed financial assistance of Rs 7.50 Cr for the construction of a Motorsports Race Track & Sports Complex in Mamit Dist., Mizoram. This will be the first & only race track in the entire North East region & shall host Int'l events in the future
The Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was executed between REC Foundation and MSSC in presence of Shri Robert Romawia Royte, Hon’ble Minister of State (IC) – Sports & Youth Services, Mizoram, Shri V. Lalengmaia, Director – Tourism Department, Shri Alex V. Chanwngthu, Addl. Residential Commissioner – Mizoram House, Shri John John Tanpuia, Secretary & CEO – MSSC, Shri Ajoy Choudhury, Director (Finance) – REC, Dr. Kajal, IAS, Executive Director (CSR) – REC; and other officials of REC Limited.
