RINL bagged first prize for Excellence in Suggestion Scheme
Visakhapatnam: Rashtriya Ispat Nigam (RINL), also known as Vizag Steel has bagged 1st prize for Excellence in Suggestion Scheme under Steel Industry Category & 2 awards in individual categories in the recently concluded 31st National convention of INSSAN- 1st Virtual convention.
Sri R Narasimha, Mgr (Mech), SMS 2, and Sri KRSV Satyanarayana, Ge- Foreman (Mech), RS & RS were awarded the Best Suggestor award in their respective categories in the INSSAN 31st National Convention.
RINL is India's first shore-based integrated steel plant built with state-of-the-art technology. It is the largest producer of "Bars and Rods". RINL operates a 7.3 million tonne per annum capacity steel plant in Visakhapatnam.
RINL has successfully commissioned its next phase despite some major setbacks with blasts in its new blast furnace. Another unit of RINL is coming to Uttar Pradesh. With an investment of 1688 Crores, RINL is establishing a plant for Rail wheels under the make in India initiative. This plant will be equipped with ultra-modern technology. It will produce 1 lakh wheels per year.
