Sanjai Kumar recommended for post of CMD, Raitel
New Delhi: Public enterprises selection board (PESB) selected Mr. Sanjai Kumar for the post of Chairman & Managing Director, RailTel Corporation of India Ltd (RCIL) on July 5, 2022. Currently, he is serving as Director (Network Planning & Marketing) and (Project, Operations & Maintenance - Additional Charge) in Railtel.
PESB in the Selection meeting interviewed six others apart from him including Mr. Suresh Kuamr, and K Manohar Raja, Executive Directors from RailTel Corporation of India Ltd (RCIL).
Mr. Pankaj Upadhyay, General Manager, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Mr. Upendra Tiwari, General Manager, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Mr. Sanjay Dungrakoti, Principal Executive Director, Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL), MR. Deepak Arora, Executive Director, Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL) were also interviewed.
Educational Background:
Mr. Kumar holds a bachelor's degree in technology in electronic and telecommunication engineering from the University of Allahabad and a post-graduate diploma in management from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon.
Past Experience:
He is an officer of the Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers (“IRSSE”) and joined the service on November 30, 1992. While working as an officer of IRSSE, he joined Railtel on a deputation basis on March 19, 2002, and subsequently was made a regular employee of the Company from August 12, 2008.
He has over 27 years of experience working as an officer of IRSSE including over 18 years of experience in managing projects and marketing departments in our Company.
