SECL CMD, Prem Sagar Mishra visited Kusmunda Mega Project

New Delhi: Prem Sagar Mishra, CMD SECL, reached Kusmunda Mega Project on field visit this afternoon. After meeting with the heads of departments at the view point, he inspected the OB patch being operated with 42 cubic meter shovel.

Thereafter, they reached Godavari Kol Patch and then to Barkuta Kol-Obi Patch. He observed the operation of the Surface Minor and inquired about the progress in the development of new patches.

Giving instructions to the excavation team, CMD SECL said that efforts should be made in the direction of increasing both the availability and utilization of machines. He took information from the E&M team regarding the drainage system and gave necessary instructions. He also went to Narayani Patch.

After inspecting the mine, he took a meeting of the officers of Mining and Quarrying cadre and instructed to take all possible steps to achieve the target.

Kusmunda project holds an important place not only in SECL but also in mega projects of Coal India. Yesterday, out of 47 rakes of coal dispatched by SECL, maximum 18 rakes were from Kusmunda region. Area General Manager Mr. Sanjay Mishra accompanied him during his visit to CMD SECL.
