SECL remembered Contribution of doctors and medical staff on National Doctors Day

New Delhi: On the occasion of National Doctors Day on 01 July 2021, gratitude was expressed for the commendable work of doctors, paramedical, nursing and other medical staff in SECL. It may be noted that there are about 10 big hospitals and more than 40 dispensaries operating in the company, through which medical facilities are provided to the manpower of about 47 thousand and their families in the headquarters and operating areas of the company. At the same time, OPD facility is also provided to the contract workers associated with the company.

In the second wave of Corona period, about 17 Covid Care Centers are being operated in different areas of the company in which about 550 beds have been provided, out of which more than 200 beds are equipped with oxygen facility. Mild and moderate nature of corona infected were treated here. Due to such facilities in remote areas, it was easy to provide timely treatment to the infected. SECL's Covid Care Centers were also open to residents of Vashvarti.

To protect against corona, SECL with the help of its medical team is running Covid Vaccination Centers at about 39 places. These centers are also open to SECL personnel, family members, contract workers, and the general public.

Rapid Immunization in Indira Vihar Dispensary - Indira Vihar Dispensary provides vital medical facilities to about 1000 personnel and their families working in SECL Headquarters. Along with daily OPD, facilities like Ultrasound, Digital X-ray, Echo and ECG etc. are available here. On the day of Doctor's Day, there was an encouraging presence of people for vaccination in the dispensary.

In this regard, Dr. Shrutidev Mishra, Medical Superintendent of Indira Vihar Dispensary informed that vaccination has been started in Indira Vihar Dispensary from 09.04.2021.

And more than 2,500 people have taken the benefit of vaccination at this centre. On this occasion leading medical services Dr. MT Dr. Shrutidev Mishra from Indira Vihar Medical Team under the direction of Tikas, Dr. Arvind Sharma, Sister Vinita Masih, Sister Aruna Masih, Sister JC. Daniel, Sister Serina Abin, Vaccination Staff Mr. M. Hanifi, Mr. Tilak Chatterjee, Mrs. Shailja Dabhade, Mr. R.K. Saha (retired) had a commendable contribution in the vaccination works.
