Shri Kulaste goes to important areas of the mines and also visits the newly developed Taldih mines of SAIL. He holds meetings with SAIL officers and mines trade union representatives. Earlier he planted saplings at the mines.

The country is heading for a further hike in steel production by 2030. In his maiden visit, the minister makes his observations and mentions the essentiality of ramping up iron ore production to meet the increasing demand in the coming days.

After getting Government’s green signals SAIL has begun iron ore fines sale from its mines including the Barsua Iron Mines. The sale has mitigated the current acute iron ore shortage in the market to a great extent.
