Silk and dye workshop at IORA
Guwahati: Tapping the indigenous innate skill of weaving, NRL has been upgrading the Skill & Entrepreneurship of Handloom Weavers of nearby villages. It started a project on Product Development and Diversification in November 2016 for 20 weavers through Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati at Ponka Weaving Centre. An exposure visit was also arranged for these weavers in ‘Silk & Dye’ Workshop at IORA – The Retreat, Kaziranga in 2016 along with an exhibition in the event RONGALI held in Guwahati in 2017 and 2019.
