SJVN organised Bijli Mahotsav in 18 locations across the Country
Sh Nand Lal Sharma CMD, SJVN stated that in series of week-long celebrations, today in Himachal Pradesh, SJVN in association with HPSEBL and District Administration organised Bijli Mahotsav in three locations.

Shimla- On the third day of Bijli Mahotsav under Ujjawal Bharat, Ujjawal Bhavishya – Power @ 2047 SJVN organised programs in total 18 locations across the country i.e., three locations of Himachal Pradesh, thirteen locations of Punjab, one each location in Bihar and Haryana .
Sh Nand Lal Sharma CMD, SJVN stated that in series of week-long celebrations, today in Himachal Pradesh, SJVN in association with HPSEBL and District Administration organised Bijli Mahotsav in three locations namely at Shimla, Chamba, Anni in Kullu, In Shimla the program was presided over by Hon’ble Urban Development Minister Sh. Suresh Bhardwaj. The program was organised in Historical Gaiety theatre, Shimla.
Similarly, in Punjab, SJVN along with BEE, BBMB, PSPCL and Distt Administration of Punjab organised Bijli Mahotsav in thirteen locations, namely at Jandiala in Amritsar, Faridkot City, Rajpura in Patiala, Longowal in Sangrur, Rupnagar City, Amloh in Fatehgarh Sahib, Vill.Lakhan Ke Padda in Kapurthala, Vill. Chak Jimna in Pathankot, Pyewal in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Jalalabad in Fazilka, Amargarh in Malerkotla, Bondhni Kalan in Moga and in Sri Muktsar Sahib.
The celebration in Amritsar was graced by Hon’ble Power Minister of Punjab Sh. S. Harbhajan Singh. Hon’ble Housing & Urban Development Minister, Punjab Sh. Aman Arora, graced the event as Chief Guest in Longowal, Sangrur. Sh S. Harjot Singh, Education Minister, Punjab chaired the program in Rupnagar City while Sh. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, Rural Development Minister, Punjab was the chief guest in Vill. Chak Jimna , Pathankot.
In Bihar, SJVN organised the event at Buxar along with Distt Administration. In Haryana, program was organised at Barwala, Panchkula by SJVN along with Distt administration.
Bijli Mahotsav under Ujjawal Bharat, Ujjawal Bhavishya – Power @ 2047 is the part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Ministry of Power, Govt. of India is a week-long celebration from 25th July to 30th July 2022.
Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN stated that till date SJVN has organised Bijli Mahotsav in total 43 locations, i.e., 11 locations in Himachal Pradesh, 26 locations in Punjab, 3 in Haryana and one each in Bihar, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
Sh. Nand Lal Sharma further told that the Bijli Mahotsav is being celebrated in all 773 districts of the country with two locations per district (1556 locations). This event devoted to the people of India, is celebration of 75 years of the country’s past accomplishments and aspirations of future. The event is showcasing exceptional growth in Power Sector over last eight years under the dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi.
Sh Sharma informed that to create awareness and to publicize the achievements of the Energy Sector amongst masses, various cultural programs, nukkad nataks and screening of short films were also organized.
Sh. Nand Lal Sharma stated that The Grand Finale of week-long Bijli Mahotsav will be celebrated at National Level on 30th July 2022 as Ujjawal Diwas with address and live interactive session with beneficiaries by Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi.
