Mr. Joshi made this statement during the inaugural ceremony of the seventh session of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) in New Delhi.

He also added that this year the global solar sector is set to reach approximately two terawatts of installed solar photovoltaic capacity. This year, the ISA is being held under the presidency of India and the co-presidency of France.
