NEW DELHI- The Minister of State for Civil Aviation, General V.K. Singh, recently visited the Pune airport to review the progress of the ongoing New Terminal Building (NTB) project. During the inspection, the Minister expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far and advised officials to ensure timely completion of the project.
In addition, the Minister emphasised the importance of using local art and artwork to beautify the new terminal. This move is in line with the government's efforts to promote local art and culture, and will add a unique touch to the airport's design.

Santosh Dhoke, Airport Director and other officials of the project team, the Minister inspected various aspects of the project, including the construction work, facilities, and amenities being developed for passengers.
The New Terminal Building project is a key initiative of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) aimed at enhancing the passenger experience at Pune airport. The new terminal will feature state-of-the-art facilities and amenities, including modern check-in counters, lounges, restaurants, and retail outlets.

The project involves the construction of a new terminal building that will replace the existing terminal and cater to the growing number of passengers using the airport.
In addition to the new terminal building, the AAI is also developing other infrastructure projects at Pune airport, including the expansion of the apron area, the construction of a new ATC tower, and the extension of the runway.
The ongoing NTB project and other infrastructure developments at Pune airport are aimed at improving the airport's capacity, efficiency, and overall passenger experience, and are expected to further boost the growth of the aviation sector in India.
