KPI Green Energy step forward for 50 MW Hybrid Project in Bharuch

KPI Green Energy advances for significant progress on its 50 MW Hybrid Project under the Independent Power Producer (IPP) segment, which was awarded by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL). The project, which includes 75.2 MWp of solar power and 16.9 MWp of wind power, is a key part of KPI’s expanding portfolio in the renewable energy sector.

The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the project was signed on July 4, 2024, and the project is expected to be operational by July 3, 2026, a timeline of 24 months from the signing of the agreement. KPI is determined to exceed expectations by completing the project ahead of schedule, ensuring the highest quality standards throughout the execution process.

KPI is integrating cutting-edge technology to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the project. A key innovation is the IoT-powered robotic cleaning system, which ensures an impressive 98% cleaning efficiency, dry cleaning 1 MW in under 3 hours. This approach promotes sustainability by significantly reducing water consumption.

With around 25 dedicated robots, the cleaning system is expected to provide substantial savings over the next 25 years. Additionally, KPI has set up a Network Operations Center (NOC) that offers real-time monitoring, centralized control, and instant alerts, ensuring consistent energy production and reliable performance across the project.

Once completed, the Bharuch Hybrid Project will contribute an estimated 17 crore kWh of annual generation, powering approximately 1.3 lakh homes with clean energy. The project is expected to save around 1.2 lakh metric tonnes of CO2 emissions annually, equivalent to planting 57.6 lakh trees each year. The project will also create over 300 green jobs in the region.
