Coal India shares rises by 3.03%, announces record date of 2nd interim dividend payment on 27th Jan
Power sector PSU, Coal India Ltd experienced a notable increase of 3.03% in its stock price on January 15, 2025. The stock closed at Rs 380.65, marking a 3.06% rise from its intraday high. Despite this recent uptick, the stock remains 4.93% away from its 52-week low of Rs 361.3.
As per the filing made by the company, a meeting of the Board of Directors of the company will be held on Monday, the 27th January 2025 inter-alia, to consider, approve and take on record Un-Audited Financial Results of the Company (Standalone & Consolidated) for the 3rd quarter ended 31st Dec’ 2024 after the results are reviewed by the Audit Committee of the Board.
Additionally, a notice is also given that the Board of Directors of the company may also, inter alia, consider and declare payment of 2nd Interim Dividend for FY 2024-25, if any.
The Company has fixed 27th January’2025 as the “Record Date” for payment of the 2nd Interim Dividend on Equity Shares for Financial Year 2024-25, if declared by the Board, the filing added.
However, the stock's performance over the past month reflects a decline of 7.23%. Currently, Coal India boasts a high dividend yield of 7.06%, indicating a potential return for shareholders.
