NMDC Production and Sales surges in May 2025
NMDC announced that total iron ore sales increased to 4.34 million tonne (MT) in May 2025 as compared to 2.82 MT in the previous fiscal. The details of Production and Sales of Iron Ore (Provisional) up to the month of May 2025 for FY 2025-26 are as follow.
In the Karnataka sector sales grow to 1.34 MT from 0.91 MT in the previous year, while sales in Chhattisgarh rises to 3 MT from 1.34 MT last year and its total sales during the first two months of the current financial year stood at 7.94 MT in comparison to 6.35 MT in the previous year period.

The total iron ore production for the May-month stood at 4.43 MT as compared to 2.34 MT in the previous-year period. The iron ore production of the NMDC Ltd in Chhattisgarh and Karnataka stood at 3.06 MT and 1.37 MT in May 2025 as compared to 1.27 MT and 1.07 MT in the previous year, respectively.
The company's total production this year till May 2025 stood at 8.43 MT from 5.82 MT in the corresponding period of previous year. Meanwhile, the total sales stood at 7.94 MT in May 2025 and 6.35 MT in May 2024.
Shares of NMDC Ltd are down by 0.58% at Rs 70.76 per share at the BSE.
