PM Modi laid foundation stone of BPCL’s City Gas Distribution projects
The project aims to provide Piped Natural Gas (PNG) connections to 2,59,496 households, along with 100+ commercial and 20+ industrial customers, as well as set up 54 CNG stations across the districts of Korea, Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, Surajpur, Balrampur, and Surguja.

In a major milestone for India’s energy sector, the Hon’ble Prime Minister today laid the foundation stone of BPCL’s City Gas Distribution (CGD) projects at Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, with a total investment of Rs 1,285 crore. The project aims to provide Piped Natural Gas (PNG) connections to 2,59,496 households, along with 100+ commercial and 20+ industrial customers, as well as setting up 54 CNG stations across the districts of Korea, Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, Surajpur, Balrampur, and Surguja.
The infrastructure development also includes the laying of 212 kilometers of steel pipeline, building a strong and reliable gas distribution network across the allocated geographical areas.
The project is expected to generate over 22 lakh man-days of direct and indirect employment, significantly boosting local economies in the region.
Through these projects, BPCL reinforces its commitment to creating a greener & energy-secure future and accelerating the transition towards a sustainable energy ecosystem in India.
