POWERGRID Achieves 50 Percent Green Energy Milestone

New Delhi, January 2026:  India’s largest power transmission company POWERGRID Corporation of India Limited has achieved a significant sustainability milestone by sourcing 50 percent of its total energy consumption from green energy sources, reinforcing its long-term commitment to environmental responsibility and clean energy transition.

The milestone has been achieved through a series of strategic initiatives, including large-scale rooftop solar installations across multiple locations and the commissioning of a Solar PV plant at Nagda, along with several other renewable energy projects.
