THDC India Limited Hosts Joint Parliamentary Committee's Study Visit on Constitutional and Union Territory Amendment Bills in Dehradun

Dehradun: THDC India Limited, a leading Central Public Sector Enterprise, played a key role in hosting the official study visit of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on the Constitution One Hundred and Twenty Ninth Amendment Bill 2024 and the Union Territories Laws Amendment Bill 2024. The two-day event was held from May 21 to May 22, 2025, in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

The high-level visit was led by the Chairperson of the Joint Parliamentary Committee, Honorable Shri P P Chaudhary, and included several Members of Parliament along with senior officials from the Ministry of Law and Justice.

Adding to the significance of the occasion, the Honorable Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, and the Honorable Speaker of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, Smt Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, also participated in the discussions. Their presence reaffirmed the Uttarakhand state government's dedication to inclusive democratic governance and development.

As one of the primary host organizations, THDC India Limited was instrumental in organizing and coordinating the visit. The event saw participation from several other prominent Public Sector Undertakings including NTPC, NHPC, and REC. THDCIL was represented by Shri Shallinder Singh, Director Personnel, who emphasized the company’s ongoing commitment to national development and constructive policy engagement.
