GPT Infraprojects Ltd. shares jump over 13% after emerging as the lowest bidder for a key railway infrastructure project in West Bengal under the EPC system.

New Delhi: Indian Railways News-While emerging as the lowest bidder for a major railway infrastructure project in West Bengal, GPT Infraprojects Ltd.'s shares surges over 13%. The work will be carried out under the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) system.
Value at Rs 481.11 crore, CAO Construction, South Eastern Railway, Kolkata has given the contract. It concerned building a "important bridge" across the Rupnarayan River. Situated on the Howrah-Kharagpur road, GPT Infraprojects LTD. said in an exchange filing the project comprises down and middle-line bridges, viaducts and an elevated platform at Kolaghat station in West Bengal.

GPT Infraprojects shares were trading at Rs 100.99 per share, after corrections from the day's high.
