GSL Launches Second MFPV for Mauritius Government

Fast Patrol Vessel, CGS Valiant, the second Fast Patrol Vessel being built for Mauritius Coast Guard, Government of Mauritius was ceremoniously launched on 2nd Feb 2017 at GSL by Mrs Ella Mital. 
 
This is in the quick succession of commissioning of the first FPV on 10 Dec 2016 by Hon’ble PM of Mauritius at Port Louis, in the distinguished presence of Hon’ble Raksha Mantri.
 
Mrs K. Napaul, the Consul and Head of Consulate of Mauritius at Mumbai was the Chief Guest for the function. RAdm Shekhar Mital, CMD GSL, Directors of GSL, Officers from Sri Lankan Navy, Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard were also present amongst other prominent dignitaries. While addressing the gathering, Mrs. K Napaul lauded the excellent work being done in the shipyard. 
 
GSL is largest exporter of ships from Indian subcontinent and is presently executing export orders worth Rs. 1200 Cr. The yard is growing rapidly and is expected to increase its turnover from Rs. 725 Crs to over Rs. 1000 Crs this year, which will further move up to Rs. 1500 Crs in FY 18.
