India International Trade Fair
New Delhi: 37th India International Trade Fair 2017, was inaugurated by President Hon’ble Shri Ram Nath Kovind on 14th Nov. at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi marking the beginning of the 14-day event in the national capital.
The Steel Pavilion of IITF was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Union Minister of Steel Shri Chaudhary Birender Singh on 15th Nov. at 10:30 AM.
Aligning with this year’s theme- “Startup India: Stand Up India”, all the public sectors under Ministry of Steel and major private sector steel companies participated in the fair.
MECON is also exhibiting its contribution towards Steel Industry and ongoing projects at the trade fair. MECON’s display was witnessed by lot of visitors who appreciated MECON’s effort.
To mark the inaugural ceremony, Dr. Aruna Sharma, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Steel, Shri Sunil Barthwal, IAS Jt. Secretary, Ms Urvilla Khati, IRPS, Joint Secretary, Ms Ruchika Chaudhry, IRS, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Steel, Shri Atul Bhatt, CMD MECON and other dignitaries were also present.
The IITF will continue till 27 November this year, with the first four days being reserved for business visitors. The fair will open for the general public on November 18, between 9.30am and 7.30pm.
