NLCIL organized a training cum computer aided safety quiz program
Neyveli. Shri. R. Ravichandran, Joint Director of Industrial Safety & Health, Cuddalore delivering inaugural address during , a Special Safety Training cum Computer Aided Safety Quiz programorganized jointly by NLCIL and Directorate of Industrial Safety & Health, Tamil Nadu.
Thermal Power Stations of NLC India limited and Directorate of Industrial Safety & Health/ Govt of Tamil Nadu jointly organized special safety training cum computer aided safety quiz program at Thermal Power Station Training Centre, Block-13, Neyveli on 05.12.2019.
Shri. R. Ravichandran, Joint Director of Industrial Safety & Health, Cuddalore graced the function as Chief Guest, Shri O.S Gnana Sekaran, Chief General Manager/HR/Thermal inaugurated the event in the presence of Unit Heads Shri M.Sampath ,CGM/ TPS-I, Shri G. Kannan , GM/ TPS-I Expn, Shri A.Godhandam,CGM/ TPS-II, Shri S.Gauthman, GM/TPS-II Expn and Shri. V. Naganathan, GM/NNTPP, who felicitated. They stressed the importance of safety in Construction, Operation and Maintenance. Shri. R. Ravichandran, Joint Director after delivering an eye opening lecture on the importance of safety measures at official and personal level in day to day life conducted a Special quiz programme, which was designed in a way to cover the various topics on industrial safety in construction, operation and maintenance of power stations.
More than 100 supervisors and workmen of contractors participated enthusiastically from the five Thermal Power Stations, situated in Neyveli. Smt. Parvatham Deputy Director of Industrial Safety and Health also graced the function. Shri .Gnana Skanthan , PRO of Krishna Cancer Institute, Cuddalore gave a special awareness session on the prevention of Cancer.
At the end of the quiz, prizes were distributed to the winner & runner up and also motivational prizes were given away to other participants. The programme was organized to drive the objective in enhancing the safety awareness & consciousness to the level of supervisors and workmen of contractors and also in building up a proactive and participative safety culture in the organization.
