POWERGRID NR-I Observes Swachhta Pakhwada
New Delhi: 'Swachhta Pakhwada' was observed from 16.08.2018 to 31.08.2018 in POWERGRID’s Northern Region-I, RHQ and in all the Sub-stations & establishments across the region. During this Pakhwada different activities were done to promote cleanliness and create awareness among the citizen about health and hygiene.
The Pakhwada started by taking Swachhta Pledge to keep the workplace and surroundings neat & clean and employees renewed their commitment to do 'Shram Daan' for making 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan' a success. Radio Campaign, Nukkad Natak, Swachhta Rallies, Drawing & Slogan writing competitions were organized to create awareness and sensitize the public about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene. Employees devoted several man hours to clean the public area near POWERGRID establishments and activities like – plantation, distribution of hygiene kits, installation of dustbins, essay writing competitions, screening of Swachhta related movies etc. were also done. The winners of the competitions were felicitated by way of giving certificates and prizes.
