MECL PAID DIVIDEND FOR THE YEAR 2015-16
NEW DELHI . Dr. Gopal Dhawan,CMD, MECL presented the Cheque for Rs.23 Crores towards payment of dividend for the financial year 2015-16 to Shri Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of State for Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy and Mines , recently at New Delhi. Shri M.S.N. Murty, Director (Finance), MECL and senior officers of Ministry of Mines & MECL were present on this occasion.
Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited (MECL) is engaged in detailed exploration of Energy and Non-energy Minerals on behalf of Govt. of India, State Governments, PSUs and other agencies in various parts of the country. During the year 2015-16, the financial performance of the Company was highest its inception. With its continuous and untiring efforts, it has transformed into a dividend paying entity from the year 2012-13 and the dividend for 2015-16 was the highest so far paid by MECL to Government of India.MECL, the “Nodle Agency” for exploration has a target to provide 40 exploration reports to varies State
Government during corrent financial year for a speedy and transparent auctioning of these blocks. It is also entering in the greenfield exploration work now. To take up such huge responsibility, it has geared up for expeditious mineral exploration work in the country.
