NTPC eyes 2,145 MW capacity addition in new fiscal
New Delhi. NTPC has set a target of adding 2,145 MW of capacity during the current financial year (2015-16). The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard with the central government.
As per the MoU, NTPC shall generate 246 billion units (BU) during the financial year (2015-16). "The preliminary agreement envisages fresh capacity addition of 2,145 MW and award of 3,000 MW thermal and 250 MW solar PV (photo-voltaic) projects," NTPC said in a statement.
