Tamil Human Resource Management Conference
Neyveli. Shri R. Vikraman, Director, Human Resources, NLC India Limited gave an eye opening speech in the 5th “Tamil Human Resource Management Conference” organised at Mamallapuram for two days on 10th and 11th August, 2019.
The Conference was organised jointly by the HR Organisations of Tamilnadu and Puducherry along with the alumni of Madurai Institute of Social Sciences at the Joe Beach Resort located in East Coast Road near Mamallapuram. Around 400 HR professionals and experts including academicians drawn from the field of Human Resource Management took part in the conference wherein contemporary issues relating to the HR field were discussed and deliberated in Tamil language.
The aim of this conference was to exchange views and deliberate on contemporary issues relating to the field of Human Resource Management in Tamil language which would result in a greater understanding of core issues by the participating HR practioners and Management students.
One of the sessions in the two day conference dealt with the topic “Neeyaa Naana Mudhal, Neeyum Naanum Varai” (From “You or Me” to “You and Me”) where many senior HR experts, State Level Trade Union leaders and HR Heads of renowned companies presented their observations on current HR trends with particular regard to Industrial Relations.
During this session, Shri R. Vikraman, Director, Human Resources, NLC India Limited, spoke about the necessity for fostering healthy industrial relations in a company and defined effective strategies to maintain cordial Human Resource Management at all times. Having joined NLC India Limited as an entry level executive, Shri R. Vikraman gradually rose to the rank of Director of Human Resources, during the course of which, he successfully tackled many challenges the company faced, with fortitude and exemplary management skills. Moreover, he is a recepient of several awards presented by well-known HR organisations for notable contributions in the field of Human Resource Management. Consequently, the valuable insights he shared, emerging out of his vast experience, turned out to be a cherished and inspiring Management lesson for young HR professionals present on the occasion.
Shri A. Soundararajan, State General Secretary, CITU, Shri R. Kuppusami, Vice-President, Tamilnadu INTUC, Shri V. Raja, Retd. Additional Commissioner of Labour, Government of Tamilnadu, Shri M. Chellamuthu, Head of HR, Ashok Leyland, Shri T.A. Mathew Gunaseelan, Additional Secretary, National Institute of Personnel Management were the other VIPs who graced the occasion.
