Last Date to Apply Dec 24 for Cochin Shipyard Project Officer Recruitment
December 24, 2025, is the last date to apply for Project Officer (Mechanical & Electrical) posts at Cochin Shipyard’s Mumbai Ship Repair Unit.
Kochi / Mumbai: Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), a Miniratna Schedule ‘A’ public sector undertaking, has reminded eligible candidates that December 24, 2025, is the last date to apply online for the recruitment of Project Officers (Mechanical and Electrical) on a contract basis at its Mumbai Ship Repair Unit (CMSRU).
The recruitment drive aims to fill four contractual positions, including one Project Officer (Mechanical) and three Project Officer (Electrical) posts. The appointments will be for a five-year contract period, subject to project requirements and performance.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 60 per cent marks from a recognised university. In addition, a minimum of two years of post-qualification experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, marine-related industries, ports, engineering firms, or government and semi-government establishments is mandatory.
The upper age limit is 30 years as on December 24, 2025. Age relaxation will be applicable for ST candidates, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and ex-servicemen as per Government of India norms.
Pay and Posting
Selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration starting at ₹46,000, which will increase annually up to ₹54,000 in the fifth year, along with compensation for extra hours of work. The place of posting will be CSL’s Mumbai Ship Repair Unit, with transfer liability across CSL units and project sites, as required.
Selection Process
CSL may conduct an objective-type test for shortlisting, if required. Final selection will be based on a PowerPoint Presentation assessing work experience (80 marks) and a Personal Interview (20 marks).

Interested and eligible candidates must submit their applications online only through the CSL website www.cochinshipyard.in under the CMSRU, Mumbai careers section. Applications submitted through any other mode will not be accepted.
An application fee of ₹400 is applicable, except for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD categories, who are exempted from paying the fee.
CSL has advised applicants to complete the online application process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.
