MAHA-Metro Invites Applications for Executive Director / General Manager (HR) on Deputation or Absorption Basis

Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MAHA-Metro), a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Maharashtra, has invited applications from eligible officers of Indian Railways for the post of Executive Director (Human Resource) / General Manager (Human Resource).

The recruitment is being carried out under Vacancy Notice No. MAHA-Metro/N/HR/02(D)/2025, issued on December 12, 2025, to meet the immediate requirement of experienced HR professionals for its ongoing and upcoming metro projects across Maharashtra.

MAHA-Metro is currently implementing the Nagpur Metro Rail Project, Pune Metro Rail Project, Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail Project, and is also responsible for Operations & Maintenance of Navi Mumbai Metro Line-1.

The recruitment is for one unreserved position and will be filled on deputation or immediate absorption basis.

• Post: Executive Director (HR) / General Manager (HR)

• Pay Scale (Immediate Absorption):

  • ED (HR): IDA ₹1,50,000 – ₹3,00,000

  • GM (HR): IDA ₹1,20,000 – ₹2,80,000

• Posting Location: Pune or Nagpur

For deputationists, pay and allowances will be as per the parent organisation, along with deputation benefits.

Eligibility Criteria

For the post of Executive Director (HR), candidates must be IRPS officers presently working in SAG (Pay Matrix Level-14) or above, with a minimum of 25 years of Group ‘A’ service, including at least six years in SAG/HAG level.

For the post of General Manager (HR), eligible candidates must be IRPS officers working in Level-14, or with five years’ service in Level-13 / 13A, or a total of 19 years of Group ‘A’ service.

Candidates must possess extensive experience in human resource management, including HR policy formulation, industrial relations, labour laws, disciplinary matters, establishment functions, and recruitment processes.

The maximum age limit, as on the closing date, is 57 years for ED (HR) and 55 years for GM (HR).

Selection Process and Tenure

The selection process will comprise a personal interview, followed by a medical examination as per the post category. Shortlisting will be based on eligibility and relevant experience.

The tenure of deputation will be three years, extendable up to five years, as per standard deputation norms.
