PESB Invites Applications for Director (Marketing) at Cotton Corporation of India Limited
New Delhi, June 17, 2026: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has issued Advertisement No. 71/2026 inviting applications for the post of Director (Marketing) in The Cotton Corporation of India Limited (CCIL), a Schedule 'B' Mini Ratna Category-I Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Textiles.
The board-level vacancy will arise on May 1, 2027, and offers an attractive pay scale of ₹1,60,000-₹2,90,000 (IDA).
About Cotton Corporation of India Limited
Established in 1970, The Cotton Corporation of India Limited was initially created as a canalising agency for the import of long and extra-long staple cotton varieties. Over the years, its mandate expanded to include procurement of cotton at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) to ensure remunerative prices for farmers.
As of March 31, 2026:

CCIL had 983 regular employees, including 170 executives and 813 non-executives.

Role and Responsibilities
The Director (Marketing) will be a member of the Board and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director.
The selected executive will be responsible for:

Overall commercial and marketing functions.

Formulation of business and marketing strategies.

Expansion of operations in the emerging textile sector.

Development of policies for future growth.

Understanding export markets and regulations relating to import and export of textile products.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Applicants should be:

Engineering Graduates; or
-
Graduates with MBA/PGDM from a recognized university or institution.
Experience Requirement
Candidates must possess:

At least five years of cumulative experience during the last ten years in:
-
Marketing,
-
Sales,
-
Sales Forecasting and Planning, or
-
Business Development.

Experience in the cotton or agri-products sector will be considered desirable.
Age and Employment Status
Eligible candidates may apply from:

Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs),

Central Government and All India Services,

Public Sector Banks and Financial Institutions,
-
State PSUs having annual turnover above ₹1,000 crore,
-
Private sector companies and joint ventures with annual turnover exceeding ₹1,000 crore.
Preference will be given to candidates from listed private companies.
Pay Scale
The position carries the pay scale of:
₹1,60,000 – ₹2,90,000 (IDA)
Applicants from CPSEs should currently be serving in the scale of:

₹1,00,000–₹2,60,000 (IDA) or equivalent levels.
Candidates from the Central Government should be holding posts equivalent to Director level (Level 13 CDA) on a substantive basis.
Tenure
The appointment will be for:
