Mumbai: Shri Ashwini Kumar Tewari has officially assumed charge as Managing Director of State Bank of India (SBI) today, in accordance with the Government of India notification dated 16th December 2025.

This appointment comes as part of SBI’s leadership continuity, reinforcing the bank’s strategic vision to strengthen operations, expand digital banking initiatives, and enhance customer service across India. Shri Tewari’s tenure as Managing Director marks a significant step in SBI’s ongoing efforts to maintain robust governance and drive sustainable growth in the financial sector.

The assumption of charge has been formally communicated to the BSE and NSE under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
