ACC Extends Central Deputation of Kapil Patidar, IES, as Director in Department of Economic Affairs
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension of central deputation tenure of Shri Kapil Patidar, IES, Director in the Department of Economic Affairs, till December 27, 2027.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has agreed to extend the central deputation period of Shri Kapil Patidar, who is currently acting as Director in the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), until December 27, 2027.
The Centre issued an Office Memorandum on 12th November 2025 extending Shri Kapil Patidar's central deputation to December 27, 2027 (or until further notice), whichever is earliest, as part of the Central Staffing Scheme. Details of the Officer’s Central Deputation are as follows:

The extension of Shri Kapil Patidar's term was approved in light of the Department of Economic Affairs proposal that originated through its prior Office Memorandum dated 11th September 2025. The Government of India's authorised official for the Office Memorandum is MS Annies Kanmani Joy, Deputy Secretary to the Government of India. These Official Memoranda have been conveyed to the Prime Minister's Office, Cabinet Secretariat and other officials for final approval.
This extension provides for continuity of leadership and policy implementation at the Department of Economic Affairs.
