Anuradha Thakur, Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, has been nominated to the RBI Central Board, replacing Ajay Seth. Her appointment is effective from July 24, 2025.
The Central Government has nominated Ms. Anuradha Thakur, Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India as a Director on the Central Board of Reserve Bank of India replacing Shri Ajay Seth.

The nomination of Ms. Anuradha Thakur is effective from July 24, 2025 and until further orders.
MS. Thakur is a 1994-batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the Himachal Pradesh cadre, and is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
She has been serving in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India.
