New Delhi: The Ministry of Railways has issued an official order deputing Shri Sunil Kumar Verma, IRSS, currently serving as Director/RS(M) at the Railway Board, to the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), New Delhi, as Chief Manager (Purchase).
The deputation will be for a period of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. This appointment is subject to the Government’s approval regarding exemption from the rule of immediate absorption at CRIS.
Shri Verma, born on 29 September 1979 and an IRSS officer since 15 December 2009, will take charge of his new responsibilities upon being relieved from his current posting at the Railway Board. The exact date of relief will be communicated to the Railway Board.
The order was issued by Roshan Kumari Meena, Under Secretary/D, Railway Board, with copies sent to key officials, including the Managing Director of CRIS and various senior officers at the Railway Board, ensuring smooth administrative coordination.
This deputation underscores the Government’s continued focus on strengthening procurement and operational efficiency at CRIS, which is responsible for modernizing and managing information systems for Indian Railways.
